This article is a little old. But, I found it interesting. Considering current world events, Iran is often in discussion. The city of Lalejin in Hamedan Province, has a 7500 year-old pottery tradition. I know this is my "art blog", but it is hard to think about what could happen to this wonderful cultural center if the powers that be decide they need "shock-and-awe". Hopefully, we can live in peace with Iran, and someday art and culture can flow freely between our nations.
